I woke up late one morning
To the Sound of Clattering cans
Pots and pans clang clang !
No one was at home!
I ran to the kitchen… Bang Bang!
And saw the windows broken and wide open
It was raining and the wind was howling
I was scared when I ran up the corridor
I heard a loud banging at the door bang bang!
Rat-a-tat trembled the carved door!
Water overflowed from the jug and splashed
As I dashed down the hall
And had a great fall!
Somewhere footsteps shuffled on the floor!
The telephone rang tring tring !
The doorbell kept on ringing
Someone shouted: Let me in! Open the damn door!
It was my cousin waiting outside all morning!
